When you believe in the Lord Jesus, your spirit-man is instantaneously transformed from death to life. This is a one-time event often referred to as being “born again.” As 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” This transformation happens in your spirit, not your physical body or soul.
2. What is the difference between the spirit and the soul?
The spirit and soul are distinct parts of a person. Your spirit is the innermost part that is made alive when you are born again in Christ. The soul consists of your mind, will, and emotions and requires ongoing restoration and transformation.
