Today, friend, I’m going to share a healing testimony with you that I was involved with that just shows how much God is still in the healing business. Now, in the coming weeks, I’ll be introducing a series on the healing power of God and the nine spiritual gifts. So as an introduction to this series, I will start out right now with this healing testimony to encourage you, my friend. When I first moved to Denver a few years back, we started to do some teachings in the downtown area concerning spiritual gifts, and one of the attendees was a young man called Jeremiah. Now, I won’t reveal his full name, obviously, but I was about to be a part of an amazing restoration that God did in this young man’s life. He faithfully attended our teaching sessions for several weeks, and then we decided to meet up for coffee a few days later.

We chatted for about an hour or so and had good fellowship, but I could tell that there was a reason he invited me for coffee other than just fellowship, and he wasn’t sharing it with me. So I was about to put my coat on and leave when he blurted out, look, I’ve got Crohn’s disease, and I believe if you pray for me, I will be healed. To look at Jeremiah, he didn’t seem to have anything wrong with him on the surface, but I later came to find out how much pain he really was in. Now Crohn’s disease is designated as rare and incurable by the medical community. It’s a disease that causes the intestines to become swollen and is a type of inflammatory bowel disease. These intestines may eventually develop ulcers, and symptoms can include vomiting, pain in the stomach, diarrhea, and even drastic weight loss.

This disease can really hinder anyone’s life, as I’m sure anybody can attest to that who may even suffer from it who’s listening to this broadcast. Now I’m going to play a nine-minute segment for you of an interview I did with Jeremiah that documents his healing. This is totally from his perspective, which was a radio slot we did a while back. Don’t take my word for it, friend. Let’s hear from Jeremiah himself. Hey, friends. This is Pastor Carl from Denver House of Prayer. We want you to know that we believe in a literal God, a God that actually heals today, even supernaturally. We are certainly not against medicinal healing, healing by the doctor. We are for that. We believe that God can move either naturally or supernaturally, but he is a good God. He is a giver of good gifts to his children, and every good gift comes from above. And along those lines, I’d like to introduce my friend Jeremiah, who had some personal struggles and symptoms of sickness and disease in his body. Why don’t you take it away, Jeremiah? Just describe some of the symptoms and some of the struggles you were going through.

Jeremiah, “Well, it’s something new that hit me when I was in my mid to late 20s. Pretty common for an adult for it to pop out of nowhere. It’s called Crohn’s disease, and pretty common across the country. You see commercials on it every day. What it is, is they call it a disease that they can’t explain, so it encompasses many different things. Essentially, to generalize it, it’s a condition where your immune system turns on itself, and it begins to fight itself, and you begin to get ulcers. The intestinal lining, the colon, from your esophagus all the way to the tailpipe, starts eroding. And then when you start to get ulcers and tears in the lining, of course, then over long periods of time, many Crohn’s patients also begin seeing huge levels of cancer. Interesting. Yeah. So it can actually develop into a very severe disease. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. Very much so. And it’s bad enough that I know people that have been hospitalized for days or weeks and completely knocked out because they couldn’t endure the pain. Wow. Yeah. That must have been very difficult for you. Yeah. I never got that bad, thankfully. It was mild, but it was enough that it changes your life. It really does. Because you can’t function the way a normal person would. Not only that, but you can’t even eat the food you’d love to eat, because you have to baby every little thing. That would be really hard for me, personally. Right? So I met you, I guess, in the latter part of last year. You came to one of our prophetic sessions.

We got to know each other a little bit more, and then we had coffee downtown in Denver. And then you shared some things over that. And I really felt compelled to pray for you at that time. And I noticed that in your own personal testimony, you really believed that God could heal you. You just hadn’t activated your faith with somebody or agreed with somebody at the time to really infuse that healing. Absolutely. I mean, I’ve always believed in it. My whole family has. But I think, I don’t know, for some reason, I was in one of those positions where I knew it was possible. I knew it could be done. But I think maybe because of all the things I had been dealing with in my heart and in my mind at that time, it was like I needed that external catalyst to really kind of jumpstart my faith again. And so, you know, coming to DHOP and living downtown and not really having any really core church group to be a part of, I didn’t really trust anybody to pray with me in that level.

Amen, brother. Thanks for trusting me. I was reminded of James chapter 5, actually, while I was talking to Jeremiah a few months back. And in verse 14, it says, Notice that there’s a lot of ‘shall’s’ in those verses, not might or would or could, but shall. And so in the time of prayer, after we spoke, we basically cracked open the anointing oil. An elder is not somebody who’s necessarily old, but somebody who knows a little bit about the word and is willing to apply the faith. And we basically agreed, according to Matthew 18, 19, and also James chapter 5, verse 14 and Mark 16, 17, that when we lay hands on the sick, they shall recover. We agreed. We did it. We spoke to the symptoms of that disease. And there was literally an immediate change, wasn’t there? Oh, absolutely. Yeah. It was actually kind of a shock because with Crohn’s or any kind of bowel syndrome, it’s different for every patient. But for each patient, there’s consistent symptoms, you know, so I knew my symptoms better than anybody and the next day, not even the next day, almost when it was like when we were done praying, I felt there was such a strong presence anyway, when you pray and anoint and stuff. So you’re kind of thrown off kilter to begin with. But the next day was incredible. There was this constant dull roar in my system. It was like an enemy that just never shuts its mouth, you know, and you can’t, you can’t quite think all the time, a hundred percent, because you’re always, always thinking about your gut or it’s always thinking about the pain.

And so it restricted my ability to really prosper, even at work, home and in other areas. But yeah, the next day, that dull roar, I got up and I didn’t even realize it at first until I thought about it later and I thought, wait a minute, you know, and I almost didn’t, I didn’t want to be shocked because I didn’t want to be surprised and I can’t believe this actually worked, you know, but it did. Amen. Amen. And, you know, there is an expectation as believers that this should work. God can heal supernaturally. He can also do it through doctors. Again, we’re not opposing that in any way, but there’s an expectation that God will move and the God we’re serving is the Lord Jesus Christ. And so his name, it says in the Bible, is above every name, in heaven, on earth and under the earth. And so Crohn’s is another name of a disease that is under the name of Jesus Christ. So when we speak that out loud, then symptoms have to obey, they have to dissipate. And lo and behold, there was an immediate change. This is probably about eight months ago, and I’ve seen the development of what God has done in your life. He’s restored you financially and physically and in relationships as well. And you’re shortly going to be a dad too, and it’s a very exciting time.

And so we’re already giving God the glory here right now in this timeframe. So, in the past week, you went up for your annual checkup. And do you want to just describe that a little bit? So I hadn’t really thought about it. It was kind of an afterthought for the last, what, eight months to a year or so. The GI doctor called and said, you know, we haven’t seen in a while. Of course, he’s not my favorite guy in the world anyway. But I said, you know, I want to actually see this for myself because I can actually get the internal scope and see exactly what happened. And so I scheduled the appointment. And just this last week, I went in. It was, in the doctor’s words, unbelievable. Before I had had such deteriorated tissues in the area. When he went back in, it was so pink and so plush and so clear. He says, man, he goes, I don’t know how else to put this, but to tell you, it looks like you have a brand new colon. And he goes, you literally have the internal GI system of a child. Wow. And I said, well, does that mean it shrunk or if I have to eat less? He says, no, what I’m saying is he says this literally looks like somebody completely wiped out and replaced all of your plumbing. Praise you, father. Amen. That is awesome, brother. Yeah, he’s a he’s a Catholic man and believes in miracles, a really great physician. So, he asked if he could keep my pictures because they do show an absolutely.

If you compared that to another adult, you would automatically assume that that would be a younger person, a child, probably adolescent, because with age, your body shows change. And my body does not show the standard change that comes with age. That’s powerful. That literally means brand new at the time when we prayed. Absolutely. Brand new colon in a 29, 30 year old body. So that’s fantastic. Well, I just wanted to share that with you out there, guys, because God is in the healing business. And this is an exclusive to Jeremiah. It’s for whosoever will believe. And we just want to extend that opportunity right now. If you’re listening by radio, I want to pray with you right now over the radio this very second. I want you to use me as a point of contact. We’ll just reach out your hand or wherever you’re driving right now. Just believe with me. If you have physical symptoms of sickness and disease in your body, I command them to leave right now in Jesus name. I declare they are uprooted. They are nullified.

They are expelled. We command those symptoms to go in Jesus name. And I speak life and health, life and health over the physical body right now as it is being revived. The word of God has energy attached to it. There’s an energy with the word that has been spoken right now. And that is touching your physical flesh. Your physical flesh is being quickened and it is being strengthened right now as it lines up with the word of God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank you and praise you friends in the days to come. I’m going to believe that I’m going to hear from you because of that prayer. And it’s as simple as that. Just throw your heart out and believe God that he can heal. You know, in today’s society, it’s very, uh, almost founded on the Greek paradigm of understanding everything with a mind. Well, the mind is a part of the soul, but believing comes from the spirit and your spirit needs to be aligned with the word of God and attach itself to that word and reach out and grab what is rightfully yours. What do you mean pastor? Rightfully mine. It was given in the cross. Read Isaiah chapter 53, the redemption passage. Okay. He took our sicknesses, bore our griefs. Now, let me tell you, friend, God has blessed Jeremiah immensely since he was healed of this Crohn’s disease and none of the symptoms ever returned again. Praise God. He went on to get married and is now a father of a lovely baby girl.

He later testified just how much he was really struggling physically with this malady and God’s will for his life was being restricted due to this condition. Not only that later on in our ministry, we felt led to so a sizable financial investment into his radio internet business, which assists churches and nonprofits. As of today, this business has half a million customers and rising, and that’s because of the blessing God has placed on Jeremiah and his family. Friend, let me tell you this. God is not a respecter of persons. What he’s done for Jeremiah, he will do for you. Jeremiah was being oppressed by this disease and Satan was using it to hold back the blessings in his life. But remember what he said out of his own mouth. He said that he believed he would be healed if I would pray for him. And that’s where his faith was at. He grew up in church. He had godly parents. He simply just strayed from God’s path in his life. And some of the consequences of that were physical sickness. So, you might be thinking, God answer Jeremiah’s prayer through me because I’m pastor and I was doing my job. That’s true. I was doing my job, but I was praying for the sick long before I went into the ministry because God’s word says we can not because of a title that may be granted. God will honor faith wherever it comes from. And pastors are not given an extra dousing of faith just because they’re ordained. No. James chapter five is what I was standing on.

Verses 13 through 16. And I’d like you to read that passage. Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any Mary? Let him sing Psalms. “Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over them, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord and the prayer of faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up. And if he is committed any sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much friend.” Now, like I said before, faults and sins can withhold the blessings of God.

That’s why it says in that passage, confess your faults, confess sins to somebody, release them out of your soul, release the log jam in your soul. And that will allow physical restoration to come from your spirit man through your soul into your physical body. I never discount unforgiveness in any healing prayer is something that I asked the person and I asked Jeremiah this myself. Start declaring your healing in Jesus’ name. This is the highest form of faith. Remember, Matthew eight, verse eight says the centurion answered and said, Lord, I’m not worthy that you should come under my roof, but speak the word only and my servant shall be healed. Friend, if you have the faith of the Roman centurion, you can be healed right now. You too can receive that healing.

Six Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Is God still healing people today like He did in the Bible?

Yes! The same Holy Spirit who performed miracles two thousand years ago is still active today. God continues to heal those who come to Him in faith and align their prayers with His Word.

2. What is Crohn’s disease, and can it really be healed?

Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory bowel condition considered incurable by modern medicine. However, through faith and prayer, there are testimonies—like Jeremiah’s—where God has brought supernatural healing and complete restoration.

3. How can I receive healing through prayer?

Healing often comes when believers mix faith with God’s promises in Scripture and pray in agreement with others. Laying hands on the sick, anointing with oil, and confessing sins can open the way for God’s healing power to move.

4. Does God heal only supernaturally, or can He use medicine too?

God can heal both naturally and supernaturally. Healing through doctors and medicine is not opposed; rather, God can work through medical means or directly by His Spirit, depending on His perfect will.

5. What role does faith play in healing?

Faith is crucial—believing that God can heal and acting on that belief activates His power. As shown in the testimony, faith combined with prayer and agreement with God’s Word leads to healing breakthroughs.

6. What should I do if I’m struggling with unforgiveness or sin while seeking healing?

Unforgiveness and unconfessed sin can hinder healing. It’s important to confess your faults, seek forgiveness, and release any bitterness to allow God’s healing to flow fully into your spirit, soul, and body

    • Felix,

We are standing in faith with you for your healing!

“Father, I declare in Jesus name that Felix’s symptoms of Crohn’s disease wither and die right now! We agree according to Mat 18:19 that where two are in agreement as touching anything, it will be done, and I declare that Felix is HEALED by the stripes of Jesus Christ (1 Pet 2:24). That he is getting stronger and stronger by the day and able to digest all foods at all times, in Jesus mighty name, Amen”

God Bless, brother. IF you still would like to pray over the phone I am available to do so.
