The identity of the Antichrist (‘Son of Perdition’ – 2nd Thess 2:3), remains shrouded in mystery, yet the Bible offers precise clues as to where this dark and mysterious figure will arise from. The ‘seed of the serpent’ (Gen 3:15) will reach full maturation in the form of the Antichrist, following the removal of the restraining force, which holds back his appearing. Consider this an introduction to the topic, as Carl studies the Books of Daniel and Deuteronomy, for special insight as to his origins. Is there one tribe of Israel which stands out, as having the potential to spawn the coming antichrist? Indeed, there is. Join Carl now for an insightful broadcast…

Here is a complete transcript of the broadcast (below)…

Today we will discuss the infamous figure of the Antichrist. Now, this man is indeed shrouded in mystery, and has been depicted in several movies and novels within popular fiction but quite often his attributes do not stem from a biblical source. As I’ve stated before, if you’re a believer in Christ Jesus then get ready to be disappointed because you’ll never see the Antichrist with your own eyes, as you’ll be long gone in the rapture before he comes on the scene. Sorry to disappoint you friend but this is the Orthodox view of most evangelicals and we are sticking to our guns on this. In fact, believers are admonished to be on the lookout for Jesus and never the Antichrist. This Antichrist, will be all things to all men and the complete antithesis of Jesus Christ. Because of his oratorical skills he will be regarded by the world as the modern-day incarnation of Hitler’s Ubermensch or Superman. To the Jews, he will be their Messiah and to the Muslims he will be their Mahadi. To the New Agers, he will embody the Christ spirit of the God within all of us. To the Asians he will be Buddha and to the Hindu’s he will be Lord Krishna. To atheists and agnostics, he will be a man of supreme intellect, slick, diplomatic, and impressive on so many levels.

You know occasionally I get a face book message or email sent my way something to the effect of, “you’re not one of those government sponsored 501c3 churches, are you? That never speaks about politics and believes in that pre-tribulation escapism nonsense…”? Wait what?!… We’ve been through two world wars and possibly on the verge of a third, for 2000 years the church has been persecuted and there hasn’t been rapture yet. No-one’s trying to escape anything here but we don’t embrace the false theology of not having the guts to endure the tribulation period. The truth is people who think they’re going to survive the tribulation hidden in a bunker with an endless supply of pop-tarts and candles have never actually read what will transpire when God pours out His wrath upon the earth.

Friend, we don’t have an escapist mentality for believing in the rapture and nor should you because we take the word of God literally. Biblical orthodoxy and the vast majority of evangelical, charismatic and Pentecostal denominations have long held to the teaching of the rapture but this teaching is coming under intense attack today. And while we’re on the topic, our teachings are not constrained by our charitable affiliation. In May of 2017 President Trump chose to target the 1950’s Johnson amendment that bars non-profit organizations from endorsing or opposing political candidates. Churches are able to engage in political activity like voter engagement and individual clergy endorsements, but the Johnson Amendment barred endorsements by Pastors from the pulpit. But the truth is friend; most Pastors have ignored this Johnson amendment from the outset. On May 4th of this year, President Trump signed an executive order allowing for the vigorous protection of religious freedom in this nation. This order respects religious and political speech from the pulpit…Amen. The founding fathers would have been proud of President Trump’s bold move and this is a positive sign of things to come during his presidency. Actually, if you’re a regular listener, you’ve figured out by now that no topic is off the table and we don’t shy away from expressing truths that free people from religious or political bondage, and we certainly don’t need a new legislature to do so but bully for Trump.

So let’s return to our topic of the antichrist and before we cover who He is, let’s discuss what he will do….Firstly, he will burst onto the world stage by forging a 7 year peace treaty with Israel solving the Middle East crises. But he’s going to break that treaty mid way through the tribulation by double-crossing them. He will then turn on Israel with a vengeance. He then has the audacity to declare himself ‘a god’ and in doing so will defile the rebuilt Jewish temple in Jerusalem by establishing an image of himself in the ‘Holy of Holies’ to be worshiped. His sidekick the false prophet will force every man, whether free or slave to receive the mark of the beast or be cut off from the one world order and economic system which he rules. This prince who is to come, this man of perdition, this man of lawlessness and beast out of the sea will be an incarnate satanic seed, who will wreak havoc on mankind.

Now, the most common question I get asked is whether the Anti-Christ is Jewish or Gentile? Great question, the difficulty is there are good reasons pointing to both arguments. Rev 13:1 suggests he will be a Gentile, still other scholars believe he will be Jewish, having a father from the tribe of Judah and a mother from the tribe of Dan. The fact that the Jews are going to embrace him as Messiah implies that he will be Jewish.

Let’s read one of the main descriptions of the Anti-Christ now from the book of Daniel 11:36–38;  “And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. 37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. 38But in his estate shall he honor the God of forces: and a god whom his father’s knew not shall he honor with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.”

If he doesn’t regard the god of his fathers, in either case he will not honor the true Yahweh God or perhaps Baal instead. Some contend he will be a Muslim but my issue with him being a Muslim leader is that no Jew in his right mind would ever consider bowing to a Muslim leader except by force or coercion. The peace treaty of Dan 9:27 in which the Jews and Anti-Christ enter into will likely to be entered into with consent; or if not via blackmail in fear of their destruction. But don’t discount the words of Jesus, in John 5:43, ” I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” The Jews of the day did not recognize Jesus as their Messiah, because he was not political. They wanted another King David to liberate them from Roman oppression. Yet the Rabbi’s of today yearn for a political leader of suave and sophistication who’ll usher them into a time of peace and security that Jesus never provided them.

Remember what I said before. The Olivet Discourse of Mat 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13 are primarily Christ’s warnings to the Jews concerning his second coming in light of the fact that they rejected Him as Messiah. The church was not born until Acts chapter two and Jesus is not primarily addressing the church in the Olivet Discourse but the Jew. So, when Jesus warns them about a Messiah that will announce himself, he’s warning them not to receive this false Messiah or Antichrist. Listen, no true Christian with the Holy Spirit living on the inside of them is ever going to embrace a false Messiah as they’re already acquainted with their Savior Jesus Christ. No Christian is going to fall for that rubbish. When Jesus says the very elect might be deceived, He’s not talking about Christians here but the tendency for Jews to embrace false prophets and Messiahs as they’ve demonstrated.

The Jews are constantly on the lookout for someone to fill the gap that Christ should have filled in their lives. Remember, Romans 11 says blindness has come upon the Jews temporarily until God has completed his work with the Gentiles. Christians are acquainted with Christ; we are a part of the body of Christ and would never consider receiving a mere man as Messiah, no matter how many fancy tricks he has up his sleeve. But the truth is we won’t have to because we’ll already be raptured anyway. This may be obvious but it needs to be said. What I find interesting is that Christians in America are the ones who embrace this false notion of going through the tribulation because they never experienced any real persecution for their faith and feel left out of the action. But friend, persecution is coming here don’t you worry about that.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand and that is the Anti-Christ himself. What if he isn’t Jewish or Gentile, but something entirely different. He comes on the world stage when he makes a peace treaty with Israel and is likely by this time the Prime Minister of the 10-nation coalition mentioned in the book of Daniel. But few people realize he was first mentioned in the Old Testament; in the dying words of Jacob.

Let’s not forget that that there are two lions mentioned in scripture, one is the lion of the tribe of Judah, better known as Jesus Christ, but there’s another, who roars around as a lion in 1 Pet 5:8. Satan will one day incarnate his anointed leader in the body of the Antichrist, who will be savior to the Jews and a man who promises peace to all men. In Gen 49:9, Jacob refers to his son Judah as a ‘lions whelp,’ yet Moses referred to Dan as a lion’s whelp also. As I said, two lions have been identified in scripture, one false and one true and some scholars believe that it is from this tribe of Dan, that the Antichrist will rise. Jacob prophesied that Dan would be a “serpent by the way, and an adder in the path.” Then later on, Moses prophesied that, “Dan is a lions whelp, and he shall leap from Bashan.” in Deut 33:22. These two prophecies are remarkable because they connect the tribe of Dan with the seed of the serpent, that same seed that’s opposed Christ from the beginning and first spoken of in Genesis chapter 3. If we study biblical history we come to find out that the Danite tribe settled at the foot of Mount Hermon in the territory of Bashan, just as Jacob prophesied. Bashan was a region situated in the upper Transjordan. The northern part of Bashan borders on the region of Damascus, while the eastern border fades into the Syrian Desert. The land of Bashan is a broad plateau with an elevation of 2,000 feet above sea level. Its western border also runs into the Sea of Galilee to the west. In time Dan became the proverbial lost tribe because of its idol worship. But if we study the early church theologians like Irenaues, Hippolutus and others, they were absolutely convinced that the Antichrist would come from this tribe of Dan.

Now, if you recall from Genesis 6, it mentions the “sons of God” commingling with women. The area in which this transgression occurred is located within the boundaries of the tribe of Dan, in this region of Bashan. This unforgivable act of fallen angels knowing earthly women, which created giants in the earth, before and after the flood is a topic that few wish to discuss, let alone on radio, yet the truth is the truth, no matter how absurd it may sound to some. It has long been speculated that the tribe of Dan were the ones who allowed the commingling of their women with these fallen angels living within the foothills of Mount Hermon, the very landing site of for these nefarious fallen angels and is discussed at length in the Book of Enoch, amongst other historical texts. Because of Dan’s indiscretion, they became corrupted, adopting the idolatrous Canaanite religion of Baal and Ashtaroth and later becoming the proverbial lost tribe of Israel.

This same seed of the serpent will one day rise in the form of the Antichrist and claim to be the Messiah of the world. Now, there have been several world leaders who’ve claimed to be gods throughout history and the Antichrist being the embodiment of the Seed of the Serpent, will be no different. If you recall Alexander the Great, that great archetype of the coming Antichrist, claimed to be born of the seed of the serpent. In fact his father Phillip of Macedonia doubted that Alexander was his son. Phillip even consulted the Oracle at Delphi and came to find out that none other than Zeus was the father of his son. When Alexander arrived in Siwa, Egypt he visited the Oracle of Amum near the western border and declared that he was the son of Amum another name for Zeus.

Far out dude, yep sure is, sounds like fantasy doesn’t it friend?….But Christ warned in Matt 24:37, just as it was in the days of Noah, so it shall be at the coming of the son of man. We have been in a seed war from the beginning of time and through modern day trans-humanism and the introduction of chimeras especially, Satan is on the cusp of potentially reintroducing his evil seed in the earth and utilizing modern technology as a means to do so. Never before has man been so close to attaining eternal life through technology but at the same time, but I fear there’s something sinister on the other side, knocking on the technological door, ready to be let out. Friend it’s time to get right with Jesus and be ready for His coming.

  • This is inaccurate information, all of it. Why would God plan for the temple to be rebuilt after it became obsolete and he he destroyed it? There’s no reason God would decree the temple rebuilt and sacrifice offerings reinstated. The rapture is judgement day, the second coming. The 70th week happened right after the 69th week.

    • Tom,

Firstly, many people struggle to believe there will be animal sacrifices reinstated within the forthcoming Millennial reign of Christ, occurring in a future temple, even though God has destroyed two previous temples (586 BC and 70 AD). You can read all about this in the Book of Ezekiel chapters 43:18 through 46:24, Isaiah 56:6-8, Zechariah 14:16 and Jeremiah 33:15-18. Precise details of the future temple are given in Ezekiel chapter 40. Check them out for yourself.

Technically, animal sacrifices never removed sin from people’s hearts nor absolved sin altogether, so its reinstatement is not an affront to Christ. Animal sacrifices pointed us to the ultimate sacrifice (Christ), who is now in our possession. Scholars believe future animal sacrifices in the Millennial reign are more of a ceremonial or memorial observance, which does not belittle Christ’s monumental, once and for all sacrifice.

Secondly, Judgment Day as you put it, is the great tribulation period of seven years (a day of seven years). This occurs after the rapture of the church; thus, the pre-tribulation viewpoint is the orthodox view and the correct one in my opinion, regarding the rapture. The tribulation is a time of God’s wrath, reserved for His enemies, and those who rejected His first coming, not His beloved bride.

Thirdly, the ‘second coming’ or ‘second advent’ is the herald of Christs return at the end of the seven-year tribulation, coming in glory with us (his saints). The 70th week, is the tribulation. It is a week of seven years and one which the Jews must endure, as part of Jacob’s trouble. The angel Gabriel informed Daniel, there would be a period of 69 weeks or 483 years, from the time of Nehemiah rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem until Christ first appearing.

However, there is still one week of tribulation (seven years) remaining before His second appearing; “Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the decree to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks (or 69 years): the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks the Messiah shall be cut off, (leaving seven years remining) but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined” (Dan 9:25-26). From the time of Nehemiah rebuilding the temple walls, to Christ’s crucifixion, is 483 years exactly. But there still remains one week of seven years left for their rejection of Christ in His first advent.

I do not agree with you that the 70th week happened ‘right after’ the 69th week. I’m presuming you are a preterist, based on your response, which you are fully entitled to, but this is not the orthodox viewpoint.

I don’t know if you were trying to pick a fight here or not, but we can still believe on Christ, remain in fellowship, and disagree with end time events and how they play out.

God Bless and thanks for listening.

  • Trump is the anti- christ, the great deceiver. He’s broken every commandment and has none of the fruits of the spirit.
